About Tim Prosser and This Blog
Tim Prosser (Timothy F. Prosser) lives in Southeastern Michigan and is in his fifth career (a project management professional in the defense industry). He has a B.S. in Geography from Eastern Michigan University and an M.B.A. from The University of Michigan. He spends his spare time playing music (link) (link); blogging on the future (link), writing about good business management practices (link), writing about his old rock band from the 1970′s (link), building and operating his ham radio station; lifting weights; and generally absorbing as much of popular culture and the natural world as possible.
Regarding this blog, Tim writes:
I started writing this blog around 1997, published it on www.cyberspace.org, had it “reaped” for not keeping my ID current, then re-established it in 2004 and had it “reaped” again. Finally I revived it a third time here, and have enjoyed writing more and receiving your comments and ideas. The ideas for this blog come to me all the time, as I have often worked in huge bureaucratic organizations, the kind of places where many people believe that the author of Dilbert, Scott Adams, “MUST have worked here”. Feel free to comment on my items, and thanks in advance.
By the way, I sure hope nobody takes this advice seriously … it describes behavior of managers who, often, have provided me and many others with nightmarish work experiences, and who consistently delivered far less than the best results for their employers.
